R,I,P, Nana Sandi

1-11-50 to 7-23-11
r.i.p. nana' sandi!
My grandma passed away this last weekend. It was very unexpected and we miss her so much!! But I know she is in a better place.I'm so glad she got to see me get married & meet her great grandson. She loved him SOO much, and she always lit up when she got to see him. You always think about the things you coulda/shoulda/woulda done when someone passes away, but you can't. You will drive yourself crazy. You can only cherish the memories of the good times. It also reminds you to make everyday count, and always tell your loved ones how much you love them every chance you get.
Love you grandma!
This was at our wedding, she had so much fun!

On this past Christmas, bein silly with her favorite girls

Thankful Thursday

i've been looking forward to this post all week! I have been doing alot of thinking lately and I wanna be happy! Now im not saying im not happy, but I have overcome some big struggles in my past that have made me a better stronger person and I just want to enjoy life to the fullest and try to weed out unnecessary negativity.  I started with removing people from facebook, lots of people. You know the kinds, the girl you went to high school with who to this day has more drama then the entire cheer leading squad put together! Or the manic depressive who constantly updates her status with how horrible her life is, nothing goes her way, yadda yadda. Yea, needless to say your all gone from my life forever. And im already feeling so much better.

Anyways, unto todays post! I got the idea while driving to work the other day. I was thinking about life in general, and my past & school, and I thought about something we used to do back in my Tech Center days in business management. Our 'manager' [teacher] was amazing. To this day she inspires me and I haven't talked to her in over 4 years. She taught me so many things, and I loved every minute. We would do this seminar "Maximum Achievement" and ever week we had to list 3 things we were grateful for in our lives. It was super easy at first: family, friends, food, shelter, freedom..the basics. Then as the weeks grew on you really had to think about the things you were grateful and thankful for! It got down to the nitty gritty, things like stars to give you hope that were not alone in this world, and silly things like door hinges so I can have privacy when I want, or invite people in. I wanted to start doing this again, reminding myself how grateful I am for everyone and everything I have in my life. So I got the brilliant idea for weekly posts. Then I thought, I gotta pick a day to do it. I then got all technical that I wanted to to go with the day of the week like a lot of the other weekly posts alot of the blogs i follow do like "wordless Wednesday" or "meaningless Monday" lol, yes I know im weird like that. So I came up with "Thankful Thursdays", probably not the most original but I don't care. So my goal for my self is just one thing once a week, and I encourage you to do it too! That is if anyone besides me is reading this blog.
 ;)

I am thankful and oh so grateful for my wonderful husband.
Tanner is so many things to me. My lover. My best friend. My secret keeper. My helper. My partner in crime. My soul mate. My biggest supporter. My father of my child[ren]. My favorite person to argue with. and so many other things. He is my high school sweet heart. I can't picture life without him. I thank my lucky stars every day. Yes we have our fights, and our lows. But life with a husband/wife isn't perfect. I don't think you should wait till your old and lived life and "got your things together" before you get married. I think you should get married to share those things with your life partner. I can't wait till im old and grey and sitting with Tanner rembering the good old days when we were young and poor and living in apartments, and parents basements. I want us to build our lives together. Learning together. Traveling together. Raising our family together. I'm so lucky to have him as my one and only. I love you Harder babe!

Now....I know I said one thing, but for the first time im gonna do two, mostly because I couldn't decide which to do first.

I am SOOO thankful for my amazing son.
Hudson is my whole world. I don't think I could ever picture a world where he didn't exist. My mom always told me you will never know a love greater then your children. That statement couldn't be more true. Although the timing of my little man wasn't what I originally planned, I've learned you can't plan life. You just go with the flow because everything happens for a reason. I believe that statement with all my heart. God will never deal you anything you can't handle or overcome. From being pregnant, and growing a living being inside you, its such a surreal experience. As much as I envy guys [less shaving, no make up, no periods!] I also feel bad they can never experience being pregnant and child birth. Feeling Hudson move and kick inside me was just amazing. I would get pregnant a million times just for that feeling. Then giving birth, such a miraculous thing. How your body can construct, protect, birth, and nurture a baby is unbelievable but im so grateful for it. The love I have for you Hudson is beyond comparable. From the moment I found out about you, to every kick & jab in the ribs, to seeing your face for the first time has just grown. Your smile and your laugh just melts my momma heart. I can't wait to watch you grow into the wonderful young man I know you will become. Always remember momma loves you most! ;)

So, what are you thankful for?
